DCC Racing to Make NASCAR Debut with Ryan Newman in Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt at Bristol Motor Speedway
The Daytona 500 and Brickyard 400 Champion teams up with second-generation racer Brad Means with support from Coca-Cola and Aggressive Hydraulics
SHERRILLS FORD, N.C. (March 17, 2021) – First announced on Dirty Mo Media’s “Dale Jr. Download” podcast, DCC Racing will make its NASCAR debut during the inaugural Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt at Bristol Motor Speedway with veteran driver Ryan Newman behind the wheel of the No. 39 Coca-Cola/Aggressive Hydraulics Ford.
The Cup Series veteran will be making his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start since 2018 at Eldora Speedway. Newman has two Truck Series starts on dirt, including a third-place finish at Eldora in 2013.
“The excitement around the Bristol dirt races has been growing, and I’m glad I was able to work with Brad Means to help make DCC Racing’s debut in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series during that weekend,” said Newman.
“We couldn’t do this without great partners like Coca-Cola, Aggressive Hydraulics and Ford Performance – I just hope they don’t mind if we get their colors a little dirty under the lights,” he said. “I love racing on the dirt and there are so many unknowns with this track, but I feel like if we can have things go our way, we could really turn some heads.”
Calling the shots atop the pit box for Newman will be veteran crew chief and dirt racer Frank Kerr. With 385 NASCAR starts as a crew chief, Kerr brings a wealth of knowledge to this new organization.
Inducted into the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame in 2016, Kerr is credited with 188 sprint car victories across 18 seasons in the All Star Circuit of Champions, World of Outlaws, USAC, and more.
This also marks the first ownership venture in NASCAR for team owner Brad Means. A second-generation racer, Means learned from his father Jimmy Means and grew up around the NASCAR garage. A staple in the sport for years and a member of the Ford Performance Motorsports organization, Means is dedicated to making this independent team a success into the future.
Live coverage of the Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt at Bristol Motor Speedway is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 27 (8 p.m. ET on FS1, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90).
